Mega Celebrities Libby Robertson and Wayne Hooper were recognised for a small portion of their volunteer work (making Parks Alive a reality in Unley) in Unley Life 's Winter issue.

Libby and Wayne are obviously keen on all things outdoors as they are off to Kangaroo Island for Bike SA's Annual Tour 4 - 11 October.

Q: What do you get if you mix a cycling fanatic with a group of talented young mathematicians??

A: A bike shop owner who uses a lot maths and group of students who understand a lot more about bikes!

A group of Year 7s from St John's Grammar and their maths teacher recently visited Mega Bike @ Blackwood to learn about how different gears help cyclists, why everyone's bike has forks at an angle of 73° and what to do to set up your bike speedometer.

To help celebrate National Literacy and Numeracy Week you can see student presentations in store from the 1^st to the 6^th of September.

Lisa and her team mates recently won the Under Water Hockey World Championships in Durban, South Africa.

Mega Congratulations to Mary Mitchell

This photo shows Mary finishing Ironman Western Australia in December. Mary is topping this off with the Hawaii Ironman on 11 October and the World Championship 70.3 race (half ironman) in Florida on November 9. So a total of 5.7 kms of swimming, 270 kms of cycling and 63.3 kms of running. Pretty Incredible Stuff!

Mary is using this opportunity to raise funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association of SA, which is a registered charity. All donations over $2 are fully tax deductible.
